The course aims to provide candidates with practical and theoretical training to enable candidates to demonstrate a minimum level of competence as required by health & safety regulations.
This course is designed for all those who are required to erect and use or supervise the use of mobile scaffold towers.
The class room element of the course covers:-
There is a practical session that requires students to erect and dismantle a 4.2m high tower under supervision of the tutor.
A tower is required for each group of 4 students. The training centre normally arranges the hiring of suitable scaffold towers, although the client's equipment can be used provided it is in good condition, all the parts are available, and the instruction booklet for the tower is available.
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to assemble and dismantle scaffold towers safely, inspect a tower and understand the hazards and limitations of using a tower.
A short multiple-choice test concludes the course. Successful candidates receive a certificate of competence.
The course lasts approximately 5 hours and is normally run at a location of your choice. There is a requirement for a room and a car park, yard etc for the practical session.
We can run the mobile scaffold towers course at a location of your choice in the South East of England including Sussex, Surrey, London and Kent
