CITB Health and Safety Awareness

Course Aim

The purpose of this course is to help those who are about to work, or who have just begun to work in the industry to understand the potential hazards they face on site. Practical summary of health, safety, welfare and environment issues, identifying the Delegate’s responsibility for looking after themselves and others, explains what should be done if the worker thinks that anyone’s health and safety is being put to risk.

Who should attend

This course is aimed at anyone considering, or are already working within the construction and civil engineering industry. In particular, the course is an ideal foundation for those wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card (ie CSCS card).

Content of Course

This CITB health and safety awareness course covers the following topics

  • General Responsibilities Health & Welfare Introduced Work at Height
  • Manual Handling
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Handheld Equipment & Tools
  • Site Transport Safety
  • Accident Prevention Reporting
  • Noise & Vibration Hazardous Substances Electrical Safety
  • Emergency Procedures & First Aid
  • Fire Protection & Control
  • Theory Test (multiple choice)

Examination Information

Delegates who attend will be required to undertake a multiple choice test to confirm their understanding of the subjects covered. On successful completion of the course a 5 year nationally recognised CITB Health & Safety Awareness certificate will be awarded.

 

Course Dates

We regularly run this course at Pyecombe Golf Club on the outskirts of Brighton (BN45 7FF). We can also run the above course at a location of your choice in the South East of England including Sussex, Surrey, London and Kent.
