CDM Regulations Overview

Course Aim

The course aims to provide candidates with a basic overview of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The course can be enhanced to cover in more detail the various duties of duty holders, depending on the target audience.

Who Should Attend

The course is designed for architects, consulting engineers, surveyors, contractors and subcontractors, principal contractors, clients of construction projects, estates and property managers, facilities managers or anyone else who requires a basic understanding of the regulations.

Objectives

By the end of the programme, attendees will be able to: -

  • Have a good understanding of the Regulations
  • Understand the requirements of the HSE and CITB Guidance documents
  • Be able to identify the different duty holders and their responsibilities
  • Know when and how to notify the HSE

Note - attendees would need to attend other courses to obtain in-depth knowledge of Part 4 of the regulations and training in management of construction work.

Certificates

A certificate of attendance will be issued by Complete Health & Safety Ltd to all attendees.

Duration of Course

The course is designed to be delivered in 3 hours, depending on whether the course is the basic course or enhanced to cover duties in more detail.
